The Jewish Christians are also called Judeo Christians & these were the People who were a part of Jewish reforms movements that later became the movements of Christianity. During the previous stages of the reforms movements, the communities of the Jewish Christians comprised of Jews who believed that Jesus was their Messiah which mean savior and they were also having the similar identity as that of the Christians during that time. Over time, Christianity became even more elaborate and the Christians Jewish still remained as one section of the community of the Christians. These Christians considered Jesus to be Christ & sometime also continued to practice the customs of the Jewish. For instance they followed the Jewish’s calendar and observed all the important Jewish feasts, they went to synagogues for worshiping and for circumcision.
The Main Jewish Feasts
There’re mainly 7 Shavuot Jewish holiday and the Christians Jewish follow all of these quite religiously according to the customs of Jews. For all the Jewish feasts, the most comman feature is that of sacrifice. On Mount Sinai God gave dates of Jewish Feasts to the Moses. The calendars of Jews are based on different phases of the moon. Every month in a lunar Calendar begins with New moon. Jewish feast, Pesach or Pass over always falls on first Full moon of the spring. Pesach un-levened breads or the Chag Hamotzi & 1st Fruit falls in between the months of March & April. The 4th Shavuot or the Pentecost comes in summers during later days of the month of May or the early days of the month of June. The Trumpets, Yom Kipur and the Sukkot, other 3 feasts of the Jews fall between the months of September and October.
Jewish feasts Passovers are feasts of salvation. It’s also known as feast of the freedom as it’s celebrated for commemorating exodus of Israelites from slavery of the Egypt and the ways it is celebrated with faithful people, were saved by blood of the lambs. The 2ns feast UN-leavened breads is generally observed by Jews by having unleavened breads for 7 days. This generally symbolizes holy walks with Lord. The periods of Shavuot are the periods of transition of Jews from becoming freed from all types of slavery in Egypt for receiving their holy books of the Torah at the Mount Sinai. These feasts are also known as Yom ha Din and Judgment Day.
